This year-round cottage on stilts in Canada, designed for a couple and their son, floats above the site prone to floods and freeze-thaw weathering. Architecture firm DIN Projects designed the cottage as a vertical wood platform structure that overlooks Lake Winnipeg.

For months now, President Donald Trump has blustered about yanking the United States out of the Paris climate deal, and now a transition team member said the new president could pull America out of the hard-fought agreement in “days.” Myron Ebell, who was in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency transition team said he expects Trump will be “very assiduous in keeping his promises, despite all of the flack he is going to get from his opponents.”
