Google’s Project Sunroof expands to 7 million homes in Germany

Google’s Project Sunroof is launching in Germany today, extending the company’s solar estimator to 7 million homes. Project Sunroof is a simple tool that allows you to determine if your house gets enough sun to switch over to solar power, and now 40 percent of the homes in Germany are covered by the project, allowing people to quickly determine if they can save money and lower their carbon footprint by swapping.
