When we think of transportation in the United States, we don’t always think of rivers. But according to designer Theo Rindos the country’s waterways once were a still are a means of travel. He designed a subway-style map inspired by Harry Beck’s 1930’s London Underground Tube Map of America’s major rivers. The map reveals how rivers connect major cities and national parks in the country.
